Welcome to CSM's Online Orientation!

This Orientation is a tool designed to outline the initial information you need as you begin your educational journey. It is also intended to provide an ongoing resource for you as your interests and goals develop and gain greater clarity. It is essential that college students understand the range of important decisions and the “timing” of these decisions as you undertake a path toward an educational goal. Your education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Your specific interests, current academic readiness, motivations, abilities, and educational history make your educational path unique to you. Remember this basic fact as you strive to achieve your goals. As a college student you should learn not only WHAT important decisions you will be called upon to make as you undertake a path toward an educational goal, but HOW to make them.

The GOALS of this orientation are:

Chapter1: Review the MATRICULATION steps required for registration;

Chapter 2: Review EDUCATIONAL OPTIONS & GOALS available to you;

Chapter 3: Understanding the use & value of the PLACEMENT TEST process;

Chapter 4: Provide information on HOW TO ENROLL in classes;

Chapter 5: Prepare you to meet with a COLLEGE COUNSELOR;

Chapter 6: FOLLOW-UP SERVICES to enhance college success;

Chapter 7: Special Admission PROGRAMS & STUDENT SERVICES.
