Members packed Board Room during Drive Release Meeting

On Wednesday, October 19, forty-five Chapter 33 members from all sites packed the District Office Board Room during the Fall 2011 Drive Release Meeting in order to conduct the business of their Union. In particular, members had prepared questions for Trustees Karen Schwarz and Pat Miljanich who are seeking re-election to the SMCCCD Board in November.

Human Resources provided an additional one half hour of meeting time to accommodate the expected lengthy question and answer session.

The agenda for this meeting included Chapter Officer nominations; acceptance of Resignation of E-Board member; Treasurer’s Report; Negotiations update; Holiday Luncheon update; CPAC and CPRO reports; Trustees Karen Schwarz and Pat Miljanich seeking CSEA support for re-election to SMCCCD Board of Trustees and the President’s Comments.

After their introduction at the meeting, Trustees Schwarz and Miljanich replied to questions submitted by Chapter members. Prior to conducting the business of the Union, members enjoyed a lunch prepared by Lavine Mar, Juanita Celeya and Medelline Lowe (photos by Herb Mintz).
