Welcome To Cañada College MESA
MESA Weekly News – Mar 5th
This week has 4 days of classes, a celebration for International Women’s Day and Friday full of Math fun and help to work on your scholarships!
On Friday, join your fellow MESA students at 10am for the annual MESA Math Challenge. Stay for free pizza (raffle of MESA hoodie sweatshirts) and scholarship info, help getting started and advice from fellow MESA students and alumni who have won the following scholarships:
- NSF Scholarship (only for Cañada students in MESA majors!) – due in THREE weeks
- Chicana/Latina Scholarship – due NEXT week
- AHETEMS (SHPE) Scholarships – due in THREE weeks
What is the MESA Math Challenge? Why participate? Back by popular demand and sponsored by the new MC2 (Math Club @ Canada), the annual MESA Math Challenge is a fun, friendly competition between MESA programs in the state and what's fantastic is that there is no downside to giving it a try -- no public posting of scores unless you're in the top five scorers. Participating and giving the test your best shot will earn you free pizza and will impress your math professor.
