Future Students

Your Education is Our Top Priority

If you think large colleges and universities have something to offer in the first two years of your education that Cañada College doesn't you're right. They have higher fees. They have lower division classes taught in large lecture halls with hundreds of students. They have graduate students – not professors – who teach some of these classes.

At Cañada College we have a better plan for you. Your lower division coursework is our top priority. We want to treat you as a member of our family, not a number.

Cañada College is one of the smallest community colleges in the Bay Area with about 6,000 students enrolled each semester. At Cañada College your lower division classes will have 20 to 30 students and will be taught by professors – many with the same academic credentials as university professors. Teaching, not research, is our priority.

It's no surprise then that Cañada College historically has one of the highest rates of student transfer to four-year colleges. Our students transfer to Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, Santa Clara and other prestigious schools. When you have small class sizes and access to professors and academic counselors it adds up to student success.

Ask yourself – are you choosing a college because it is bigger or are you choosing a college that will help you succeed academically? Don't get lost in the crowd. We have a better plan for you. Become a member of the Cañada College family.
