Congratulations on your admittance to the biggest honor society in the world, Phi Theta Kappa and welcome to Skyline College’s chapter, Beta Theta Omicron. As a member, you have academically earned this incredible distinction that you should be proud of. As an honor society, Phi Theta Kappa continuously strives toward academic excellence and individual growth by following the four hallmarks, which are: leadership, scholarship, service, and fellowship.
As a member, you now have many opportunities that allow you to grow as a leader with the support of the Beta Theta Omicron team. Such leadership activities include: participating in the annual College Project and Honors in Action as well as taking part in Relay for Life, Book Drives, Restaurant Fundraisers, and more! Phi Theta Kappa also provides scholarships, transfer assistance, and individual awards that are only offered to fellow Phi Theta Kappans. The possibilities by joining Phi Theta Kappa are truly endless; it’s only a matter of what you make of this incredible experience. The more you participate, the more you will understand what Phi Theta Kappa is truly about. Being a part of this honor society will truly enrich your life both during your time attending Skyline College and beyond.
The 2012-2013 Honors Study Topic will be the Culture of Competition. This topic will be the focal point of our Honors in Action Project; therefore providing opportunities where you, as a Phi Theta Kappa member, can actively partake in the four Phi Theta Kappa hallmarks.
