Volunteer
Opportunity
Earn hours towards the Honors Transfer Program
requirement or general community volunteering.

This is an excellent way for Skyline College students to build a community service record. Whether you need the 16 hours by arrangement or not, feeding homeless families is a great way to develop your inner community service spirit. I have been actively involved in The Feed the Homeless program in San Francisco since October 2006 and it has been a wonderful experience. We are always seeking volunteers to help us in distribution and food preparations.
Volunteers can either participate in making meals (sandwiches and soup) in the south bay (San Carlos/Belmont) from 6 am to 8 am or they can participate in the distribution of the meals (Leavenworth St/San Francisco) from 8:45 am to about 12 noon.
Our group meets every other Sunday morning at our new Leavenworth Street location.
All supplies and meals are paid for by our group, so as a student volunteer, nothing is expected or required from you as a volunteer. Any students who wish to volunteer may email me for directions to our distribution stop. We will be there every other Sunday at 8:45 am.
If you have any further questions about this program, please e-mail me.
